Sunlight spilled across the bed, coming to rest directly in Lucidea's eyes. She winced, stretched and covered her eyes with her forearm. With her other hand, she carefully patted the bed next to her until she found a warm body. The dream-like night had been no dream. Happily she curled closer and snuggled against Jayse's chest when he wrapped his arms around her.

"It's morning." Surprise laced his tone.

"No kidding. I should have closed the drapes last night."

"I enjoyed the moonlight. The sheen of your skin." He stroked the birthmark on her belly. "The sparkle of our soulfire." His hand moved higher.

She stopped his advance by covering his hand with hers. "I suppose we should get up."

"Mmm, up." Jayse nuzzled her neck. "'S what I had in mind."

Slapping at him playfully, she scooted to the edge of the bed. "I love you, but not now. I need a shower."

Jayse rolled after her and grabbed her around the waist. "I'll join you. The shower in my bathroom's pretty small. Is the one in here any bigger?"

"Oh, I think so." Taking his hand, she walked backwards toward the bathroom. She wanted to see his face when he first spied Morghan's hedonistic shower. The space still amazed her.

She reached behind her for the latch and pressed her back against the wood to open the door. Standing to one side, she watched Jayse.

At first he didn't look at anything but her, then, obviously realizing she waited for him, he turned his head. His mouth dropped open. He shook off her hand and stepped to the center of the expansive room. "Wow."

"I feel that way every time I come in here." Lucidea shuffled her bare toes through the thick, shaggy rug. "And the first time I used the shower, I must have been in there an hour. Just... looking."

Jayse turned in a slow circle then moved toward the smooth, stone shower. "Your uncle... uh... wow."

Yes, her uncle had built a masterpiece, a shower made to enjoy, to experience, to share. She wondered briefly at that fact, then dismissed her thoughts. He had been—he was an extremely handsome man. No doubt he'd had no lack of willing partners during his long life—before he admitted his love for Coralie.

The far wall of the shower, a panel of thick glass from floor to ceiling, faced the loch. The rocky shore disappeared under the overhang. Jayse turned back to her. "It'll be like taking a shower outside."

"Wait." Biting back her grin, Lucidea reached for a small set of handles. Warm water fell like rain around the perimeter of the enclosure. Jayse grinned and held his hand under the gentle flow.

"Wait," she said again and flipped a switch beneath a sliding panel. With a faint mechanical whir, stone slid away and showerheads moved into place. After a moment's thought, she set the controls and water pulsed, the jets alternating a variety spray patterns.

Throwing his head back, Jayse spread his arms and laughed. He turned, following the pulsing spray. She admired the droplets cascaded over his body to create a sexy, steamy sheen.
